Overview
To provide a well maintained, safe and welcoming community facility.
To host a wide range of activities and events for children and young people. To provide a community facility complimentary to, and not in conflict with, the centre’s core aims for young people.
To achieve and maintain self sustaining finances.
This includes:

Well maintained, safe, secure and clean
In use seven days a week
Supporting young people
To be a place which young people consider to be “their own” safe place and a focal point for youth work within the local and wider community
To be the base for the Bookham Youth Project (BYP) covering youth work in the Bookhams, and adjacent communities (managed by the Leatherhead Youth Project).

Community resource
Host a wider range of community support and activities e.g playgroups; sports and leisure for all age groups; education and skills building
Utilised as avenue for meetings, private functions/ social events
Financial stability and sustainability
Realistic budgeting
Income from lettings and fund raising to balance running / revenue costs with contingency
Successful grant bids for pump funding and sustainable capital / revenue project funding

The Bookham Youth & Community Association (BYCA) is a Registered Charity: 4042816 and Private Company limited by guarantee without share capital.

We also catered for casual hirers with events such as:
